Welcome!

My name is Bruce Shaffer, the author behind Goathouse publishing. As a civil engineer, I authored many water resources documents during my 26-year career. After retiring in 2016, I eschewed the more technical writing and began tapping into my life experiences and creativity to compose works of non-fiction and fiction. The non-fiction book is my humorous personal memoirs titled, It Started with a Pickle Crock. The fiction books are an eclectic variety of novellas that promise to entertain you.
